I could only say, the past week was like a major twist in my NS life.

So many things uncovered; so much hypocrisy. Some people really deserve a STAR AWARDS for their acting skills.

I've no idea how I'm going to survive the next 15 months, peacefully that is!

In other news, please support [info]anna_sea's campaign for CHANEL 2.55 at 21st, also known as the DADDY-BETTER-BUY-OR-DIE movement.
I could tell she was desperate when we went for a spin at the CHANEL, PRADA and LOUIS VUITTON boutiques. The SA at CHANEL's going to call security as someone couldn't let go of the bag. HA HA HA.

THE FAIL MOMENT OF 2009

April 8, 2009 - Last year, Nintendo published the frightening Wii-exclusive action title, Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, in Japan. Since then, fans have waited for the company's U.S. subsidiary to announce a stateside release of the game, which was developed by Tecmo and Grasshopper Manufacture.

And waited. And waited some more.

In early April, MTV had the chance to speak with NOA president Reggie Fils-Aime about the subject and the executive shot down hopes for a local debut of Fatal Frame, saying: "We are not the publisher of that title in the Americas."

Buh? Nintendo published the title in Japan so it was thought that the company would do the same for the game in America. Apparently not. Which publishers does that leave open to do it? The only other possibility is Tecmo, which had up until Mask of the Lunar Eclipse published all Fatal Frame games. So we contacted the third-party in hopes that it might shed some light on the subject and simultaneously offer stateside Wii owners a hopeful solution to the calamity.

No such luck.

A Tecmo spokesperson gave IGN the following statement:

"Nintendo holds the publishing rights to 'Fatal Frame Wii,' which was developed by Tecmo LTD. and Grasshopper Manufacture and released in Japan on July 31, 2008. Nintendo of America has since then decided not to publish the title in North America – consequently, the title will not be released in this territory. As the owner of the IP, Tecmo feels very unfortunate that the fans of the series in North America will not have a chance to play the game, but respects the final decision made by Nintendo of America."

- IGN.

Nintendo you )($*@**#(@#, stop thinking the Wii can survive on "Wii _____" titles alone. Sales for this game is astounding in Japan, and it is a very good IP to expand upon.

Just be glad CAPCOM's still supplying you those chopped Resident Evil titles.

Thursday was kinda nice, since it was a HALF DAY!!

My department is having a retreat and basically the office seems kinda half-empty in the morning.. I thought retreats are like those days where everyone will get to go outdoors for some team games or stuff like that, but this is like some er.. work planning thing. Anyway, for once I could stay around the lower floor since I've finished most of my project and presented it to the Director..

Anyway around 11am, all of us left to Hotel Miramar for a Dim-Sim buffet lunch. It was really funny and nice to eat with all the other NSFs... sans all the WEIRD things getting thrown into people's tea.. We clear the food pretty fast, since it's some ala carte buffet - We've got ten people at the table and there's usually the right amount of servings. So we had to order extra dishes after the first round of "pre-selected" food. Towards the end, all the officers started dumping all the leftovers to our table at the end. What is this?!

After which we went to Vivocity for the movie.. Slumdog Millionaire. Before the show started, they played the trailer for COMING SOON and many were shocked by the scenes. The main feature was quite interesting - I shan't spoil the movie, it is a little overhyped but I feel that the oscars were well-deserved.

SO ADDICTIVE ZOMG. Why are all the M-rated games on the Wii almost definitely awesome? Okay of course games like BARBIE DANCING PRINCESSES will have nothing to be praised, but it seems like the Wii is destined to be a machine for zombie shooters lolx.. kk I do admit I was hooked to Zelda, Wario Inc, Elebits (for a while) and obviously Wii Sports.

This game is quite different from the rest. A first non-arcade shooter, keeping the same gameplay but changing the theme quite dramatically. It's less of the mystical parts now - bosses no longer named after Tarot Major Arcana (You get things like "SCREAMER", "MOTHER"...), and the monsters/aliens are replaced by very "humanoid" monsters that mob rush at you, Left4Dead style. The game has gone quite terribly (in an intentionally good way) grindhouse B-horror and quite annoyingly, the amount of expletives in the game is really excessive. ALMOST EVERY LINE'S GOT ONE.

Okay I think I'm spoiling my Wii Remote and Nyko Perfect Shot. Fortunately this game lets you buy and switch weapons, so I swapped to SMGs and Assault Rifles. A shotgun would be a much better choice but I just love to hold the trigger and rain 'em with bullets. Dual wield tiemz.

wthax haven't blogged in weeks. I've been busy.

My new unit's rather nice, although the first few days were really odd. Unexpectedly, the guys there did a search on me online and on my first day of work, I got a shock when they found out my many aliases. This place is very different compared to Changi. While I miss the people there, most of them are already leaving, finally reaching the end of their 2-year NS term.

I'm kinda glad to refer each day as "work" instead of "NS SLAVERYZXXXX" now. Arriving at the office before 8AM now without the fear for mortal peril, arrowing or people messing up - accident or not. Not forgetting that I can still go home every day at a VERY fixed timing (instead of mostly late but sometimes VERY early back at the Naval Base). Compared to stay-in units, I must say I'm quite blessed. Unfortunately, I'm going to spend a lot on transport and food, since the camp is SO FAR and there's no cookhouse. Why did I complain about the aunties from FOODFARE PTE LTD??!

The new place's just got renovated and it's quite a large office. Yep, a true working environment here, at the Defence Technology Towers. Half Military half civilian, and all the officers here are CPT or above. It's getting rather interesting what the unit is all about, picking up the pieces day-to-day as I try to learn about how everything is working discreetly.

Finally ***DRUMROLL*** I'm actually going to have some chance to do design work here.

I received news that I'm to be transferred to another unit just yesterday. First reaction: SHOCK. Second reaction: WTHAX IS THE CAMP?!?!

I wanted to appeal to my officers and ask them to keep me in Changi, but after what's that happened so far, I probably shouldn't question my blessings and probably the only chance to exit while I can, lolx.

........................

And after an almost peaceful day today in the office, the usually stringent and indifferent MSG (Master Sergeant) decided to help me clear my OFFs, including the "illegal" double ones (YAYYYYY!) so effectively today was my last day. My only regret is that my seniors, Aanandaa and Chen, are now heavily burdened as one of them are going to leave soon as well. And the juniors we have.. Oh well, I think everyone's feeling quite lucky if they don't blow things up one of these days, honestly speaking.

So yeah, I'm saying goodbye to Changi Naval Base, the ships there and my unit which is pretty on the verge of collapsing (nothing to do with my departure actually) right now.

........................

My new unit seems quite INTERESTING actually..

Err... Behavioral Sciences?!

Finally watched the film. Another Miyazaki masterpiece, no doubt! Story isn't as engaging as his previous three films, but the art is really lovely, with no CGI used at all. There's so many complex scenes with fishes swimming all over the place, reflections and stuff... all resembling digital work but are actually hand-drawn. The music, by Joe Hisaishi, is equally enchanting.

It feels like one of his old classics revisited in HD or something. Well, if you've watched MY NEIGHBOUR TOTORO.. Ponyo somewhat looks like Mei. The scene where she tries to transform into a human (the first time) with her father trying to stop her = absolute LOLX..

GO AND WATCH IF YOU HAVEN'T!

Sorta stressful opening to a new year! Camp chaos/crisis as usual, a lot of deadlines and last-minute planning to go, but all of that was handled...

Ayumi Hamasaki, despite her hand injuries, performed at Kouhaku 2008. What's more amazing, she went to perform at her PREMIUM COUNTDOWN LIVE 2008-2009 A, a 3-hour concert. Her hand doesn't seem to be seriously injured at all, with her wearing a well-concealed brace/support thing hidden as part of a wristband that matches each of her costumes perfectly. The fact that she can still sing with ALL her dance movements... brings TOTAL SHAME to some of the shameless people at my camp who can't "do anything" for a really simple hand injury..

For no reason whatsoever (similar to how I listened to MALICE MIZER for a period of time), I'm now addicted to Sachiko Kobayashi's music. (Okay, I'll admit I do enjoy enka, it's a lot of exhausting vocal work, but I've never actually saved any music down.) She's a very popular enka singer, famous for her lavish, exaggerative and totally insane mechanic "illusions" every year at Kouhaku.

Anyway, she's so POWERFUL she has her own Pachinko machine (LOLX???) complete with DIGITAL MIND WAVE slots from CRISIS CORE and dramatic SUMMONS fused with folkdancing.. Not to mention the gauche metallic frames with so many flashy multi-coloured LEDs.

Just last night, I was talking to [info]anna_sea about our future MRT lines.. I can't believe they're planning to make stations "within 400m-1km" from one another and MRT tunnels (total distance of course) LONGER than the London tube system.. Are they INSANE?! Why would we need such an extensive system? Some of the circle line stations already sound redundant (Rochor Station, in between LITTLE INDIA and BUGIS). People, please learn how to walk.

2009 just started... 2010 FASTER COME PLX.. Universal Studios Singapore KTHXBAIZ.

Had a really crazy night/day yesterday.

Chalet with my secondary school pals at Goldkist Resort located at East Coast, a place I've never heard of until recently. Anyway, the place does show its age, our rooms had weird stains at weird places, some ~~UNKNOWN SOUNDS~~ that had no explanation.. most of them enhancing the HORROR/GORE films we watched.

Seriously, no more amerikan horror movies. We watched SAW V (Fel brought some other SAW films as well), a lot of people felt sick during the film, then Musta'in switched to Russell Peter's when the film ended to let everyone get some rest from the blood and catch some breath. Some of the girls went down to play TWISTER and everyone soon followed. It was pretty funny especially when four guys played and er.. ended up in some weird positions that I'd rather not talk about here lolx...

We went back upstairs (since that room is air-conditioned) and played Hotel626.com "together" (actually guiding Musta'in with the game, since he's controlling his laptop) and well, everyone jumped and the girls screamed so much during those.. SHOCK! moments. The "lullaby" part made everyone go "SLOWLLY... SLOWLY... OMG OMG OMG..ZZZZZZZZZZZOMGGG THE BAR WENT OUT... OMG... NONONONONOONONOOOES... ZOMG ZOMGOMZOGM HOPE NOTHING WRONG HAPPENS.. AAAAAAAAAAAH!!!"

I thought it'll be over until they decided to load up HOSTEL, a horror/gore flick that seriously made me felt sick for the first time. The cut version showed up in Singapore as an R21 film, but of all things, someone brought in the UNCUT version somemore.. Fortunately I was pretty tired by then (3am+?) and napped during the show, only to be woken up by everyone's screaming and BAM~!.. horrific bloody imagery forged into my mind.. and SOME THINGS CANNOT UNSEEN..

At around 6am, most of the people went home (or ran away after being traumatized by the shows)... Musta'in loaded up HOSTEL: PART TWO.. and with just SIX PEOPLE left in the room the creepy effect somehow multiplied, especially with the unexplainable knocking sounds. I got woken up by Fel's screaming again and when I saw the screen, it was some woman bathing in blood.. of a victim hanging above her, sliced and all. I really couldn't stand it and I needed to get home anyway, so I left as well.

ta-dum~

Thanks for all the texts and Facebook spammage. Anyway nice to see [info]enacting putting life onto Twitter again~~ (NO HIDDEN MEANING WHATSOEVER~~) Trip to Japan plx??! This time I'll bring you to Disneyland and DisneySea FOR A REAL DISNEY MAGICAL~~ EXTRAV... EXPERIENCE. Of course the other scream-ish people have to tag along for a more dramatic LOL time..

I woke up at 1AM today because of some midnight SMSes. I put my phone to silent and I missed dunno how many calls today, some coming from Camp. Anyway ignoring them~~~

Today was a normal day. Woke up a little early as I had to go to another base to fetch a vehicle back to Changi, but it was quite okay since no one was really around except for a RSM (I've honestly no idea what it stands for) that sorta made us run whenever we see him. Back to camp, same stuff mainly. I actually received a birthday card from our CO (Commander Officer). So funny, but his signature is quite artistic.

Because people are getting lazy over at my end, the higher ups are implementing changes. Most of them are really severe (No Duty Offs) and will hit everyone pretty bad, especially the hardworking people. Fortunately I'm not a driver or anything so I won't get affected, yet. I've no idea wthax I'm doing right now, but I hope I'm not on a way to become a Spec (Specialist). Also because of the absymal amount of MCs lately, there's actually a limit/quota for reporting sick now lolx.

Got myself an early birthday present last week!

I can't believe I bought it. Simply put, these are really "defined" earphones and there's 3 speakers on each side, total of six. If you know music, it's mainly made out of Bass, Treble and Mids in between. One speaker to cover each of the sound spectrum. So really, you can hear it all~ It changes the listening experience quite a bit because of the heightened details. Imagine the intimacies, hearing small movements, breathing and all even from a complex orchestral piece. It really makes you feel you're at a recital, Live. Before you think about downloading those 320kbps CDrips of High School Musical 3 or some boybands, please upgrade your earphones lolx... not until like me, but at least get something <$150.. It's worth the saving up.

Okay I'll admit I've always intended to get it but really, what made me jump was the price (It was on a special offer). Normally it goes for USD569 retail. Trust me, when even someone like [info]anna_sea got floored after trying these out, it must be good.

K enough on audio chatter, before Ilyana comes to my house and steal it anyway. HELLO WOMAN you have BOSE in your house and you don't even KNOW. How come Musta'in found out in 4 seconds??!

Days/GREEN -Cover C- So simple but beautiful~

Her new songs are like, GOOD. I've been looping them. A lot. [info]anna_sea, record plx. MHSK, record also plx kthx. I bought Grand Theft Auto IV for PC and actually set the tracks onto the Radio Station. Quite SOOTHING to hear it while running over and killing people~~

I can't believe they're releasing the single on my birthday (again.) there must be some significance, either personal or sales-related thing in Japan. Anyway I'm going to buy all the covers(!) and probably spend another $400-600 on in-ear monitors - Yes you can all SIGH now and disapprove at how earphones priced at $100 and $1000 have no discernible differences other than the extra ZERO. So many things to buy, sigh.

My army life has gotten much better lately. I've been "pulled" from the break room to work in the office now. Much better environment, it's cleaner and since there's officer's walking around, nobody's lazing about. The thing is, I've no time to read books anymore T___T. Gotta entertain calls, plan/manage people about. Sorta like a crazy promotion from RECRUIT to (Temp) SPEC... Thank goodness I have some friends to help out for a few months until they ORD (finish the 2-year term) next year. Week's been hectic since a lot of people went on leave and COMBO-ing MCs like no tomorrow. Some people have no shame??!

The new Harry Potter book came out a few days back, have you all read it yet? I'm waiting for my copy to ship from the USA.. I hope dad really ordered it.

Each player of this game starts off with 10 weird things, habits, little known facts about yourself.
People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 10 weird things, habits and little known facts as well as stated by the rules clearly.
At the end, you need to choose 10 names to do this. Don't want leh~

1. I have this strange obsession to listen to Classical music, especially recently.

2. If I have to wake up at 6AM, I usually set my alarm clock ten minutes earlier so I can press the snooze button twice.

3. I'm going to UNIVERSITY~~ in two years. Local, not overseas. Not like JO-ANZ ya'kno, so nice can go UK.

4. After Ilyana bought a Puchi-Bubble Wrap toy from HK, I did a mini-order and this was the result. Someone still owes me money from the order >_>.

5. Everyone knows I've a lot of tech gadgets and most of them are either in silver or black, with two exceptions, my DS lite (Crimson Black) and iPhone 3G (White).

6. I used to sing and record quite a lot (plus a lot of EMBARRASSING MOMENTS that'll be f-locked lol) until NS, that was when everything when bad with my health/voice.

7. I might buy $600 earphones for Christmas x__X.

8. Since childhood, I keep having dreams of dying from Roller coasters, but that hasn't stopped me from visiting theme parks and riding them.

9. When it comes to meals, I usually clear away the vegetables off my plate and save the meat for last.

10. I had a strange obsession with green tea weeks back, having Gelato from Haato almost twice a week and green tea almost every other night.
